
This tour aims to provide participants with a practical and enriching experience, where they will be able to learn first-hand about the agroecological practices implemented in various farms and agricultural projects in El Salvador.
DURING THIS TOUR
We will learn about agroecological practices
Participants will have the opportunity to
observe and learn about various agroecological techniques applied in the
local agricultural production, including crop management, soil conservation, use of bioinputs and integration of agroforestry systems.
We will exchange practical knowledge
Promote the exchange of experiences and
knowledge between local producers and international participants, promoting
collaborative learning and networking.
We will promote agrotourism
Promote agrotourism as a tool for sustainable development and the valorization of Salvadoran agricultural culture and the Latin American countryside, showing how agroecological practices can be integrated into tourism activities.
We will carry out environmental awareness
Raise awareness about the importance of agroecology for environmental, economic and social sustainability, and how these practices contribute to climate change mitigation and biodiversity protection.
The Agrotourism Technical Tour is part of the International Day of Food Sovereignty and will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 08:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
